Organizational Development (OD) revolves around addressing systemic challenges, including those related to people, structure, and processes.
At Tutul, we act as Sherpas (ref. those who help us climb mountains safely), guiding and working with organizations on their transformative journey as we conquer challenges together. We create a safe and creative ‘space’ for our clients to co-create and deploy solutions using OD principles. We find elegant solutions to challenges and we never give up till we meet our commitments. The collective experience of our core team, which has been working in the OD space for over 25 years, spans over 600 organizations across different sectors and geographies, enabling us to leverage diverse and deep perspectives.
Our interventions tackle a diverse range of challenges around institution building. This includes (though not limited to) helping organizations articulate or re-articulate values, define culture and enroll employees into the desired culture, define structures, and resolve burning issues (or support the organizations in gearing up for opportunities and the future). A significant part of our work revolves around working leaders across levels in the form of immersive leadership journeys. Most of our OD initiatives have been around facilitating a group of people to engage with their stakeholders to re-wire mindsets and beliefs, gear up and rally together to deliver on (changed/ new) strategy, or work through a significant challenge.
Our work is not ‘event-based’ and we typically work with a critical mass of individuals over six to eight months, utilizing various OD concepts & methodologies to reshape perspectives & create success stories. Our approach involves powerful facilitation, engaging diverse mindsets & attitudes while encouraging the practical application of learnings to empower individuals & enhance organizational performance.

Institution Building
Building an institution requires a long-term view and reflection on aspects such as the long-term vision, the character of the organization, the guiding principles, what leadership stands for, and the readiness of the organization for changing contexts and other essential building blocks.
We help clients visualize and mobilize long-term transformation, revisit Purpose and Values, and work through significant change initiatives such as global expansion, business model change, M&A, and transition in ownership.
Culture Building
Building a strong culture that aligns with your organization's strategy and business imperatives is essential. We help you define your existing culture and compare it with your desired culture. We then work with you to gradually fill any gaps and communicate the narrative around why the culture needs to change, including its relevance to your strategy and any significant challenges in your support ecosystem.
We believe in creating a high-performing, people-oriented culture that is responsible to the larger ecosystem. To achieve this, we closely determine the interlinkage between strategy, business imperatives, and culture, ensuring that they are all aligned and working together to drive success.
Our culture building approach also includes change management and leadership development initiatives to ensure that your culture change is sustainable over the long term. We can do this through various Large Group Interventions (LGIs) that foster a culture of learning and growth.
Leadership Development
We work with you through our multifaceted leadership building program to action upon the visions of the leaders-changemakers.
Firstly, we focus on effectiveness by addressing dynamic tensions and conflicts, which are often one of the biggest issues that leaders face. We provide a framework that helps bring difficult issues out in the open in an acceptable manner, allowing for the surfacing of unresolved conflicts and better alliances and united fronts.
Secondly, we help build capability by designing multifaceted, dimensional methodologies that include training for new roles and designing roles for specific technical experts, proven to be extremely successful.
Thirdly, we offer individual executive coaching to help leaders embed into a new role, prepare for higher roles, and address any derailing behaviours. This typically involves a six-month transition period.
Fourthly, we provide group coaching and monitoring through a series of activities and six touch points that can help transform your team.
Finally, we offer HR transformation by combining experiential modules for HR with internal OD skills to ensure that your HR function is aligned with your organization's goals and culture.
